School of Biological Sciences Alumni
Welcome to the alumni information site for the School of Biological Sciences. As alumni of the School of Biological Sciences you are vital to our School's tradition, history, and future. Through this site we hope to provide information on School activities and initiatives that may be of interest to you. Throughout the academic year we sponsor special events that you may wish to attend. These events include our Trailblazers in Molecular Biology and Biophysics Lecture Series spotlighting the foundational work of imminent scientists, Nobel Laureates and members of the National Academy of Sciences. In addition, the annual Alumni Achievement Dinner recognizes prominent alumni of each academic unit on campus. Past alumni achievement award recipients from the School of Biological Sciences include your classmates and colleagues such as Michael Brown, Dr. Roman Tuma and Dr. Fernando Doņate. Finally, we wish to extend an open invitation for you to visit the School during commencement when current graduate of SBS become alumni.
The School of Biological Sciences also provides opportunities for tax deductible giving such as contributions to our Graduate Scholars Research Fund, an endowment established to help support graduate student research stipends. You may also wish to join us in establishing the soon to be launched undergraduate program in Biotechnology. This academic program will be designed to meet the needs of undergraduates interested in careers in biotechnology or wishing to continue their research-based academic training at the graduate or doctoral level. We are also involved in a capital development project to enhance research infrastructure in our structural biology program, one of the strongest research focus areas within the School. Your investment in the School of Biological Sciences will pave the way for future success stories such as your own.
We would also like to extend an invitation to you to check in with us by providing us with your current mailing address, phone number and email. In this way we can better serve you by keeping you informed of the many activities going on within the School and provide opportunities for you to involve yourself with us.
