SBS Graduate Application

Application to the Graduate Program in SBS

The criteria for admission to our graduate program are described here.

During transition to an on-line only admission procedure for the UMKC Graduate School, applicants to the M.S. and IPh.D. program within the School of Biological Sciences are encouraged to follow the following five-step process.

Application to the IPh.D. program:

Apply to UMKC through ApplyNow! Instructions relevant for SBS Graduate application are here.
Submit an SBS IPhD Application form . This is a downloadable WORD document that should be filled out and submitted via e-mail to sbs-grad@umkc.edu.
Solicit 3 letters of recommendation, have referees send to the SBS Graduate Program.
Take all relevant exams and have official scores sent to the UMKC School of Graduate Studies.

All applicants are required to have GRE scores.
International applicants additionally need TOEFL scores. Students from countries where English is not an official language also must submit TWE scores.

Have official copies of transcripts and certificates mailed to the UMKC School of Graduate Studies.
